Every House Decors project moves through six phases: Discover, Design, Confirm, Build, Install and Handover. It starts with a call with our founder, R. Udaya Kumar. You approve the 3D design and quote before any work begins, our own team builds it, and we work to a 49-day delivery promise with payments in four stages.

Phase 01
Discover
We start by understanding the home and the people in it. Your first call is with our founder, R. Udaya Kumar, followed by a face-to-face meeting.

Phase 02
Design
Your requirements become layouts and 3D views, with storage, finishes and lighting planned room by room.

- You get
- A design you can see in 3D before anything is made.

Phase 03
Confirm
Nothing is built until you're happy. We refine the design with your feedback, then lock the design, materials, scope and quotation together.

- Review, ask for changes and approve the final design and quote.
- We
- Make the revisions and confirm plywood, laminate, hardware and lighting in writing.
- You get
- An approved design, a confirmed quote and a start date.

Phase 04
Build
Our own team builds the approved design. No outside crews, so the people accountable for the design are the same people on site.

- Stay informed. Visit whenever you like, or get updates if you're away.
- We
- 30+ in-house carpenters, electricians, painters and masons, coordinated by M. Gangadharan, with site visits from our founder.
- You get
- Work that follows the approved design, checked as it progresses.

Phase 05
Install and finish
Units are installed, hardware and lighting are fitted, and each room is finished and checked so every piece works together.

- Walk through the rooms and point out anything you want adjusted.
- We
- Install, fit, finish and check every room, then fix what you flag.
- You get
- Finished rooms, ready for the final walkthrough.

Phase 06
Handover
A final walkthrough together, then the keys to your finished home. Handover isn't the end: the same team is there if anything needs attention later.

- Hand over and stay available for after-sales support.

- Your finished home with a 10-year warranty.

Living abroad
The same process,from anywhere.
If you can't be in Chennai, the six phases don't change. You review the 3D design and approve decisions remotely, and our team manages the site and keeps you updated through the build.

What is the first step in the House Decors process?
A phone consultation with founder and Managing Director R. Udaya Kumar, followed by a face-to-face meeting to understand your home, rooms, budget and timeline. Meet the team.
How long does a House Decors interior project take?
House Decors works to a stated 49-day delivery promise. The exact timeline is confirmed once your scope, rooms and materials are final.
Do I see the design before work starts?
Yes. You see layouts and 3D views, request changes, and approve the final design, package and quotation before execution begins.
Who does the work on site?
House Decors' own in-house team of 30+ carpenters, electricians, painters, masons and workmen. Execution is not outsourced, and the project coordinator and founder visit the site during execution.
How are payments split?
Payments are made in four stages of 10%, 70%, 15% and 5%, tied to project progress. Starting prices are on the packages page.
What should I prepare before the first call?
If you have them, keep your floor plan or builder drawing, the rooms you want done, a budget range, your handover or move-in date, and a few reference photos. None of these are required to start.
Can I start with just one room?
Yes. The same process applies whether you want a single kitchen or wardrobe or a complete home. See all services.
